THINK BIGGEST

The Cardiff Giant is one of the most famous pieces of fiction ever created in United States history.  In 1869, the Cardiff "Giant" was unearthed in Cardiff, NY.  He was the "remains" of a ten foot tall man that became the "must see" event of the time.

Speculation on who this colossus was and where he came from ranged from the Bible's nephilim, Greek demi-gods, or a petrified giant of fantasy lore.  The truth was far less interesting but did display the essential elements of good story telling.

A New York businessman named George Hull thought it would be interesting to commission the creation of a "giant" out of stone, but make it look like petrified remains, and bury the "man" some where that he may eventually be unearthed.

This is exactly what happened.  The results are imaginations were let loose, stories were created, and ideas were free flowing.  By launching this simple prank Mr. Hull asked the question, "What if giants existed? How would that change our world?"

The stories, characters, and ideas that formed from this question were not forced by demand but crafted organically from questions out of interest, intrigue, and belief.
